Passenger arrested at Stevenage railway station after ‘threatening member of staff’

A passenger was arrested at Stevenage railway station during the rush hour this morning after allegedly threatening a member of staff.

Police were called to the station at 7.06am, and arrested a 28-year-old man from Stevenage at the top of the stairs near the ticket barriers.

A force spokeswoman said he had been cautioned for a section 4 public order offence of causing fear or provocation of violence.
