Boro midfielder could be out for up to six months

Dean Parrett underwent surgery today on his knee.

The Stevenage midfielder could miss up to six months after rupturing his anterior cruciate knee ligament against MK Dons last week.

Writing in today’s matchday programme ahead of the Wolves game, physio Paul Dando said: “Initial signs are positive; there was minimal swelling on the joint which allowed for an early intervention and he was able to achieve excellent range and movement and quadricep control pre-operation.

“He will spend tonight in hospital and should be allowed home in the next 24 hours or so.”
