CONFUSING signposts in a town car park are driving shoppers round the bend.
Signs at Biggin Lane short stay car park, Hitchin, refer to when the site is reserved for market traders.
Shoppers have been left bemused as one notice clearly states only traders can park there on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, while two other signs say the site is only reserved on Saturdays.
A North Hertfordshire District Council spokesman said: "NHDC recently changed the parking restrictions at the request of the market traders. The general public can now park there on Tuesdays and Fridays. The move is part of NHDC's initiative with the traders to promote Hitchin market. The signs are in the process of being changed.
