THE A507 between Baldock and Buntingford was blocked this morning (Tuesday) after an articulated lorry overturned shedding its load of scrap metal.
The incident happened at 5.45am at Clothall close to the junction that leads to Hickman's Hill.
Police say the driver of the vehicle was not injured but the fire service was called to deal with a fuel leak from the vehicle.
Both lanes of the A507 have been closed by police while the vehicle is recovered and the scrap metal cleared which could take until late morning.
Diversions around Baldock are currently in operation to get traffic to and from Buntingford.
