MOTORISTS using the A1 (M) northbound faced a slower than normal drive to work this morning after a car overturned near junction 5.
Police closed off two lanes of the motorway forcing traffic into one lane while the vehicle, a Volvo that ended up on its roof, was removed. The woman driver was uninjured.
There was also heavy traffic on the A1 (M) southbound again between junctions 8 and 9.
