A WATER park, ideal for cooling down children during the hot weather, has been hit by a technical fault.
AS temperatures soar, the opening of an aqua park play area for the summer season has been delayed due to a technical fault.
The facility at Fairlands Valley Park in Stevenage, which contains equipment that sprays, squirts, mists and sheets water, was due to open today (Monday), but engineers working to fix a technical problem have said the area will not be open until this weekend at the earliest.
Cllr Howard Burrell, Stevenage Borough Council’s executive member for children and young people, culture, sport and leisure, said: “The aqua play area was tremendously popular last summer when it opened for the first time and I am sure that it will once again be a huge success.”
