Voters in Central Bedfordshire have only a few days left to secure their vote at the UK general election on 6 May.
"If your name is not already on the electoral register, you have until Tuesday 20 April to register to vote," warns Richard Carr, Returning Officer and Chief Executive for Central Bedfordshire Council. "If you are not registered, you won't be able to vote."
"Registering takes only minutes, and means you can have a say in who represents you in the UK Parliament," says Phillippa Saray, Electoral Commission regional manager, the independent elections watchdog.
"Simply print off a form from www.aboutmyvote.co.uk or call 0800 3 280 280 You can also find forms to apply for a postal vote if that is more convenient for you than going to your local polling station/place on 6 May. The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Tuesday 20 April.
