AN arrest has been made after a 999 call to police over concerns an elderly man was being targeting by conmen.
The police helicopter and dogs unit are currently scouring Letchworth GC in an attempt to find further suspects who may be linked to an incident which happened about an hour ago.
According to a neighbour, a group of men surrounded a pensioner's home with scaffolding on Penn Way in Letchworth GC and demanded �5,000 for work he had not requested.
A worried member of the public called the police, who swooped and arrested one man.
The other suspects have fled and are currently being hunted by police.
