The organiser of an annual fundraising running challenge has sounded a recruiting call for athletes who want to be part of the event this year.
Richard Harbon of North Herts Road Runners is the race organiser of the fifth Greenway Challenge on Sunday, May 3.
The event is staged by the running club in partnership with the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation and Standalone Farm, and all the proceeds go to support the work of Letchworth’s Woolgrove School for children with mild learning difficulties.
Richard said: “The event has raised thousands of pounds towards sport, nature and play equipment for the children.
“The event is really popular as it takes in many of the beauty spots around Letchworth while testing serious and fun runners alike, but due to the nature of the course we have to restrict entries to 350.”
If you’d like to be one of them, you can find full details on the club’s website at www.nhrr.org.uk.
