An Olympic gold medallist was the guest of honour at Fearnhill School’s celebration of achievement evening last week.
Tim Baillie regaled students, parents and teachers with his London 2012 Olympic Games experience, where he and partner Etienne Stott won Great Britain’s first ever canoe slalom gold medal.
Tim presented certificates and prizes, answered questions and even allowed students to take gold medal ‘selfies’ with him.
Headteacher Jed Whelan said : “Tim reminded us that sport encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity, it helps the development of our whole person.”
