IF you fancy star gazing, and the long-range weather forecast is good for it, then go along to the Letchworth and District Astronomical Society headquarters at Standalone Farm in Wilbury Road, Letchworth GC, on Saturday night and enjoy their Star Party.
The Society will be opening its observatory to allow visitors to see the wonders of the night sky for themselves. There will be a range of telescopes available for visitors to use to have a look at Mars, the Red Planet, and Saturn with its magnificent rings.
Early visitors will have a chance to see Venus and there will also be a view of the craters on a thin crescent of the Moon.
The event starts at 7.30pn and entry is free.
