NURSES from Lister Hospital headed back to school on Tuesday to take part in an interactive session to promote the work nurses do ahead of International Nurses' Day on May 12.
Staff from East and North Hertfordshire Trust visited Woolenwick School in Stevenage and gave the youngsters opportunities to dress up, play X-rays, plaster-making, observation and bandaging.
Lead nurse for children's services Kath Evans said: "Children pick up on stories about hospitals in the media just as much as adults so it's a great opportunity to address any concerns or fears the child may have about coming into hospital.
