A NEGLECTED garden has been transformed Ground-force-style by an environmental charity.
The garden belonging to Home-Start in Bedwell, Stevenage, was turned into a safe children's garden in just one day.
Charity Groundwork helped Home-Start, a charity that provides volunteers to support and mentor young families, and runs weekly family group sessions at the centre.
Using money raised at Groundwork Hertfordshire's recent 20th anniversary ball, and providing 30 staff on the day, Groundwork wanted to create a garden that will enhance the lives of families using Home-Start.
Lif Bishop, manager at Home-Start, said: "We are really looking forward to being able to use our outdoor area for the families attending the groups.
