A hairdresser is using a novel way to keep children happy while having their hair cut.
As mums and dads will know, getting small children to sit still long enough to have their cut can be a daunting prospect. But Hitchin mum Nicola Pope has opened a salon that has them jumping into the chair - because instead of the traditional black barber’s chair, they have colourful little vehicles to sit in.
“The idea came from America,” Nicola said. “They are original pedal cars that we’ve had adapted. We’ve got a blue Mustang, a red plane and a bright pink mini. The children love it and mum’s too because it takes the stress away.”
The salon called Little Roots opened last month and is proving so popular Nicola said they are already only taking bookings.
