BORO are back in the North West on Saturday as they travel to the Victoria Stadium to take on Northwich Victoria.

The Vics have been enduring a turbulent season that has seen them on their third manager already and their former chairman locking them out of their stadium.

Former Boro coach Dino Maamria will be back on familiar ground having led the Vics to safety at the end of last season and could be set for a hot reception.

Last Meeting - The two sides couldn't be separated when they met at The Lamex Stadium in November.

Former Boro striker Darryn Stamp gave the Vics the lead in the 28th minute but that was cancelled out by an Andy Drury strike in the 64th minute.

Stamp was then dismissed but Boro could not find the winner thanks to some solid defending from Vics man Mark Roberts, who did enough to persuade Graham Westley to bring the big defender to Boro.

Form - Northwich have won once and drawn twice in their last five outings. A defeat at Altrincham was followed up by a surprise 2-1 win at play-off contenders Kidderminster.

However, the Vics weren't able to follow that up at the New Lawn losing 3-0 to Forest Green Rovers. Two 0-0 draws with Kettering and Barrow then followed.

Players to Watch - Damian Reeves moved to the Victoria Stadium having failed to break into the Histon first team.

The former Farsley Celtic man impressed last season but his goals were not enough to stop Celtic from relegation and Histon moved in to sign him.

However, the striker has failed to force his way into the first team and was released leaving him free to join the Vics in their fight against the drop.

The home side will be hoping that the speedy striker will be able to get in behind the Boro defence and cause them problems.

Looking to disrupt the Boro midfield on Saturday will be Matty Crowell.

The former Swansea and Wrexham man joined the Vics last January and has weighed in with a few goals from midfield.

Matt Bailey will be the man given the task of marking Steve Morison and he will be hoping to repeat his man-of-the-match performance from the Barrow game.

The 22-year-old rejoined the Vics in the summer from neighbours Crewe Alexandra.
