The Conservatives have kept their control of North Herts District Council, gaining one and losing one seat in yesterday’s elections.
Following the count this afternoon (Friday), the party took Hitchin Highbury from the Liberal Democrats but lost the Letchworth Grange ward to Labour.
Labour’s other gain was in Hitchin Bearton, where Liberal Democrat councillor Lisa Courts was defeated.
The Conservative party held eight seats, with Labour retaining three.
