AN MP has lost his job as a Foreign Office minister in the Government following a Cabinet reshuffle today (Monday).

North East Bedfordshire MP Alistair Burt was the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office but Prime Minister David Cameron has replaced him with former sports minister Hugh Robertson.

Mr Burt tweeted: “Standing down today. The last 3 1/2 years have been a pleasure working on an extraordinary portfolio with talented people. Thank you all!”
