There will be bargains aplenty at a second-hand book, DVD and CD sale at Hitchin’s RSPCA shop tomorrow – with no fixed prices.

The RSPCA Herts East Branch will hold the sale at its shop in Churchyard from 10am to 2pm tomorrow, Sunday, with the shop space turned over exclusively to more than 1,000 books, DVDs and CDs for the day.

Branch trustee Heather Nicholls told the Comet: “Customers will be able to take as many books as they like. All we ask for is a donation of their choice.

“We can offer our books on this basis as stocks are high and we are running out of storage space.

“While primarily a fundraising event, it will also give us an opportunity to give something extra to the good people of Hitchin and the surrounding areas who generously support us.”

RSPCA Herts East Branch is an independent charity registered separately from the national RSPCA, and relies on donations collected locally to fund its operations.
