Members of the Biggleswade Neptune Cub Pack tackled the old ditch at the allotments behind Saxon Pool in the town as part of a project in the County Commissioner's Challenge 2008.
The Cubs decided to undertake the conservation project, which was also supported by Biggleswade Town Council, and cleared the ditch of grass and weeds. They plan to return to the site to dig the bottom out to allow the water to flow again.
