Keech Hospice Care (formerly Keech Cottage Children's Hospice) is opening a new shop in Churchgate, Hitchin tomorrow (Friday).
The charity, which raises money for children's care in Herts and Beds, is appealing for donations of good quality clothing, books, bric-a-brac, small electrical goods, jewellery and unbroken toys
Philip Kojcinovic, retail manager, said: "The shop will play a vital part in raising the funds needed to maintain our children's hospice services. We appreciate that this is a time of financial uncertainty, but even just one bag of your unwanted items will help to make the shop a success.
The shop will be open from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and donations can be dropped off during those hours or for larger items a collection can be arranged, call 01462 441171.
