With Hitchin home to a large number of families with young children the town’s first independent antenatal clinic has celebrated its opening this month – with a great deal of interest from prospective parents.

Many have noted the successful launch of the Hermitage Road business Preview Baby – the brainchild of sister-in-laws Eileen Flatley and Anne Edwards.

Both have backgrounds in midwifery, hypnobirthing, development – and motherhood. Their new centre aims to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment to enhance parents-to-be’s antenatal experience by complementing the NHS.

Preview Baby also offers 3D and 4D scanning, screenings – and home test kits – as well as hynobirthing classes,

Anne and Eileen told the Comet: “We chose to launch our business in the heart of Hitchin as it is such a vibrant town with many growing families.
