TWO new Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) have gone on the beat in Biggleswade.
Helen Starling and Elaine Fleet have joined the Biggleswade police team giving the town three PCSOs.
Biggleswade beat manager Pc Ian Wilson said the expansion of the PCSO unit will give police more visible policing in the town.
"PCSOs provide a valuable service in policing and supporting normal officers," said Pc Wilson.
"This will mean we have a much higher visibility on the town's streets during the day and at night and hopefully make the place a lot safer and crime free.
