Police have issued a fresh appeal for information after an alleged dog attack in Letchworth, this time giving a further description of the animal’s owner.
The incident is described as happening at 7.45am on Thursday, July 5, on the Greenway near The Wilbury pub in Wilbury Hills Road.
The victim, a man in his 60s, was walking his retriever cross when a dog – described by police as a black, brown and white medium-sized collie – ran up to him and bit him on the leg. He has been left with bruising.
The owner of the dog who bit the man is described as a white man in his late 40s to early 50s, who was of medium build. He is described as balding, with shorts and a pink T-shirt. He walked with what police have called “a distinctive limp”.
