NEGOTIATIONS are still continuing between three parties about when century old church bells should ring out in a market town after a complaint was made to North Herts District Council (NHDC).
Reverend Andrew Holford of St Mary the Virgin Church in Baldock, officers from NHDC and the complainant, who said bells were ringing too loud and too often, met on Tuesday to reach a compromise.
Rev Holford said: “Following a meeting at the council offices on Tuesday we are able to say that negotiations are continuing and we hope to be able to report more fully soon.”
