Brain injury charity Headway Hertfordshire is hoping to win £41,000 of lottery funding with the help of the public.
The Hitchin-based organisation is competing against four other charities in the final of The People’s Projects – with the one with the most votes receiving the funding.
Headway Hertfordshire CEO John Archer said: “It would enable us to reach out to more people affected by a brain injury across the county, to offer more support services in more locations.
“More locations are vital as the capacity to travel is sometimes a big issue after a brain injury, where you have had your car licence suspended and may need to travel on public transport.”
The People’s Project began in 2005, with the concept of giving the public a say in how funding should be distributed in their local area.
