A POLICE hunt for a mystery woman in pink has been a success.
The young woman, who witnessed an assault in Hitchin at the end of last month, came forward after reading an appeal in The Comet.
Officers wanted to speak to the woman after she saw an 18-year-old knocked unconscious in Market Place in the early hours of Saturday morning and stayed with him until the emergency services arrived.
The victim was later taken to Lister Hospital where he was treated for a fractured cheek bone.
A 21-year-old was arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail until September 7.
