The owner of a snake that was discovered on a shop floor has been found.
Pet owner Emma Bentley, 37, of High Street, Stevenage, believed her Brazilian rainbow boa dead after it escaped six weeks ago.
However this afternoon (Friday) Stevenage Fireworks manager Lee Banks discovered the reptile slithering on his shop floor.
Mrs Bentley said: “I’m just so glad that it’s alive. I was convinced it was dead after it escaped as they are supposed to be kept in specific temperatures to stay alive. I’ll be really happy to have it back.”
She only realised her pet might still be alive after the Comet ran a story detailing Mr Banks’ discovery. He is now arranging the snake’s safe return.
