Darren Murphy says he is pleased with his performances for Boro since his comeback from injury.
Murphy has missed the majority of the season after firstly dislocating his shoulder and then breaking his leg in his comeback match from the initial injury, but the midfielder’s recent displays in the first team have been impressive and the midfielder told The Comet he was pleased with the way he has hit the ground running.
“I was delighted to get on (against Bradford City last week) and I’m delighted to be back playing after such a long part of the season out. I did my shoulder, then I did my leg, so I’m pleased to be back.
“My fitness has been kept very good while I’ve been out, and I’ve come back a bit quicker which is a bit strange.
“As a footballer you’re always wanting to start games and play, but to be fair it’s a good squad here and we keep winning, but I’m obviously biting at (Graham Westley’s) heels to play.”
