A New Year’s Eve argument between two motorists in the middle of a busy Stevenage road led to one of them punching a dent in the other’s car bonnet, it has been alleged.
Police have today launched an appeal for witnesses after a spat broke out between a motorcyclist and the driver of a Peugeot 308 in Fairlands Way – near the King George V playing fields – between 2.15pm and 2.30pm on December 31.
The Peugeot was left with a dent in the bonnet following the argument.
PC Charlie Phipps, who is investigating the incident, said: “This happened in a live lane, on a busy road, and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to contact me.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Phipps on 101, quoting crime reference E1/15/8511, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
