Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 2.28pm and an Air Ambulance was scrambled from RAF Wyton in Cambridgeshire.

Ambulance crews from Letchworth and Shefford also attended the incident and found the 19-year-old in dense woodland.

Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "The young man fell from his motorbike into a densely wooded area and sustained an arm and facial injury. He was treated and stabilised at the scene by a paramedic and doctor from the helicopter, before being conveyed to the Lister Hospital, Stevenage, by ambulance."
