Motorists faced another morning of misery travelling southbound on the A1 (M) today (Tuesday with heavy, slow moving traffic reported between junction 9 at Letchworth Gate and junction 7 at Stevenage during rush hour.
There was also heavy traffic on the A602 Broadhall Way at the junction with Gunnels Wood Road in Stevenage.
An earlier accident on the A1 (M) at junction 4 southbound had caused severe congestion and police also reported heavy traffic in the Hatfield Tunnel because of roadworks at junction 3 for St Albans.
