PARENTS and pupils have raised nearly £3,000 for charity by holding fetes, dressing-up days and other sponsored events.
Pupils at St Nicholas School, Stevenage, raised £2,800 as part of their Lent activities. The money has been divided between Great Ormond Street Hospital and Childline.
A spokesman for the school said: "The school was recognised in their recent Ofsted as having exceptional commitment to the local and wider community and this shows the generosity of the parents and friends of the school.
