A teenage girl who went missing for more than two weeks has been found.

Nikita Atkinson went missing from her house in Brent, London, on October 9, and returned to the address independently safe and well earlier today.

It was thought that the 17-year-old could have been in Stevenage.

Herts police worked with other agencies to launch an appeal to find the teenager yesterday.

A spokesman for the force thanked the media and public for their help during the search.
