Officers are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 23-year-old Stevenage man who went missing in the early hours of this morning.

Police have since released an image of Jack Baynes-Birchenhall following a sighting at Tesco Extra in The Forum in Stevenage just after 6am today.

Prior to this, he was last seen in the Poplars area of the town at around 4am.

It is believed that Jack may have boarded a train and officers continue to appeal for the public’s help to trace him.

He is described as white, of medium build, with short brown hair and a short beard.

He was last seen wearing a green jumper, dark coloured jeans, green trainers and a blue coat with a hood.

Anyone who has seen him since he went missing – or if you have information on his whereabouts – call police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting ISR 76 of March 5. For immediate sightings, call 999 straight away.
