A missing 83-year-old man from Letchworth with dementia has been found safe and well in Ashwell this morning.
Police had been growing increasingly concerned about William ’Gordon’ Whitfield, who went missing from his home in Western Close at 4pm yesterday.
But following a report from a member of the public – who had been urged to assist in the matter – William was located by officers.
The police have thanked the public and the media for their assistance.
