Sam Wedgbury takes to Twitter to tell club’s fans he is off
Sam Wedgbury has left Stevenage by mutual consent and joined Skrill Premier side Forest Green Rovers.
The midfielder announced his departure on Twitter saying: “Just want to thank the fans at Stevenage for being very supportive throughout the season, I’ve left the club by mutual consent. #topfans.”
The midfielder signed from Macclesfield Town last summer and started the club’s first three matches of the season at right-back, but in total made just seven appearances this campaign.
Wedgbury becomes the second player to leave Stevenage this summer after Filipe Morais departed last week.
