NADINE Dorries is being investigated by an independent body, which is looking into whether the MP claimed expenses she was not entitled to.
An investigation has been launched into travel and accommodation expenses claimed by the Mid Beds MP.
On its website today (Friday), the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority said: “The compliance officer for the IPSA has reason to believe that Ms Nadine Dorries MP may have been paid an amount under the MPs’ Scheme of Business Costs and Expenses that should not have been allowed.”
It added it would not be publishing any further information until the investigation concluded.
