A Metropolitan policeman who crashed his motorbike near to Hitchin this afternoon is still being treated at the scene.
The 1200cc bike was being ridden by an officer in his early 30s when he came off the bike on the B651 London Road near to St Ippolyts at around 2.45pm.
An ambulance spokesman confirmed the officer is conscious and breathing as paramedics treat him.
