Boro loanee Junior Mendes has been told he will not be offered a new deal at parent club Aldershot.

Mendes is one of three players let go by Aldershot but manager Gary Waddock wished the Montserrat international well for the future.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for the contribution that they made last season with promotion to the Football League.

"I wish all three players the very best for the future and wish them well."

Mendes has made a good impression since arriving on loan at the Lamex Stadium last month, scoring in the 2-1 win against Cambridge United.

However, it remains to be seen whether Boro boss Graham Westley believes the 32-year-old has a future at Stevenage beyond the end of the current season.
