TWO men have been charged in connection with a string of offences which targeted homes, Herts Police revealed this morning (Thursday).
They face 14 charges of distraction burglary and two burglaries that all took place in Herts, Beds and Essex on April 24.
The offences include three distraction burglaries in Stevenage, four in Ickleford, and a distraction burglary and a burglary in Hitchin.
Michael Ward, 26, from Clinton Avenue in Manchester, and John Cawley, 32, from Wrottersley Road in London, have been charged with conspiracy to burgle.
They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Bedford Magistrates' Court next Tuesday (May 12).
