Stevenage lost their opening League Two match on Saturday, going down 2-1 at home to Crewe Alexandra.
Veteran striker Ryan Lowe and Chelsea loanee Alex Kiwomya put the visitors 2-0 ahead before Charlie Lee scored a consolation for Stevenage with the last kick of the game.
Next up for Boro is a trip to Ipswich Town on Tuesday evening in the EFL Cup.
