Boro lost to Doncaster Rovers on Saturday in a seven-goal thriller.
Stevenage trailed 3-0 at the break before Tom Pett and Fraser Franks got them back to within a goal.
A Jamie Jones own goal then extended Doncaster’s lead to 4-2, before Rowan Liburd’s five-yard tap-in made for a tense final few minutes at the Lamex.
