MORE than half the students at Marriotts School in Stevenage have achieved three A levels or more.

All students achieved at least one A level, 94 per cent achieved two or more, and 56 per cent secured three.

Fifty per cent of the grades were at C or above.

High achievers include Michael Kyeyune, who gained three As and will be studying art at the University of Hertfordshire after completing a foundation year at North Hertfordshire College, and James Selby, who secured two As and one C and will be reading business at the University of Northampton.

Headteacher, Patrick Marshall, said: "Marriotts School is very proud of the achievements of all its students. It is a credit to the hard work put in by them and their teachers and they are all to be heartily congratulated.

"Achievement continues to rise. It is good to see the examination results improve in line with the rest of the school's indicators. I look forward to even greater success in future years.
