AN UNCLE will be running the New York Marathon for charity because his niece has cystic fibrosis.
Stephen Gregory, 32, will be taking part on November 5 to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust as his two-year-old niece Caitlin, who lives in Chaucer Way, Hitchin, with her mum Cherry, has the disease.
Mr Gregory, a personal trainer from Forest Gate, London, said: "It's quite an unusual challenge for me as I've never attempted to run a marathon before.
"I hope I will raise lots of money to help Caitlin and other children with CF look forward to a brighter future."
