A charity fashion show in the elegant surroundings of Hexton Manor raised more than £1,000 for Hitchin-based charity Tilehouse Couselling.
The venue was provided by Patrick and Bim Cooper, who is a patron of the charity providing professional support for women and young people suffering emotional health problems, with fashions provided by SuSu Boutique of Welwyn and modelled by shop staff members Marie Fox and Val Studholme comedian and writer Suki Webster, another charity patron.
Director Sue Barnes said: “It was not only a fabulous evening, it also helped raise the profile of Tilehouse and generated income. Only 10 per cent of our funds come from public health funding, the rest has to be raised through charitable trusts, individual donations and events such as this.”
