A man who was wanted by police in connection with a string of thefts across Hertfordshire has been arrested and charged.

Daniel Taylor, of no fixed address, was arrested by police on Saturday after being spotted by a member of the public in Hatfield Road, St Albans.

The 35-year-old, who police wanted to speak to about two thefts in Hitchin as well as a number of incidents in Potters Bar and St Albans, has been charged with theft and is due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court this morning.
