A man has been airlifted to hospital with head injuries after a fall in a flour mill.
Ambulance crews were called to JAS Bowman & Sons in Hitchin shortly before 4pm yesterday (Tuesday) to reports of a fall from a metal stairway. After treatment at the scene the man was flown to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.
The manager of the mill said the man was kept in overnight for observation but is in a stable condition.
