A 25-YEAR-OLD man has been a victim of robbery.

The incident happened in Letchworth GC on Saturday morning between 1am and 1.30am when the victim had been walking from Letchworth GC Railway Station via Cowslip Hill.

A man then appeared in front of him asking him what he had got for him.

When the victim said nothing and side stepped him, the offender followed him and ran in front of him repeating the question: “What have you got for me?”.

The victim then produced his wallet but the offender then asked him to check his back pocket.

The victim pretended they were empty but the offender implied he had a weapon and the victim handed over his iPhone 5.

Detective sergeant Pete Hankins, investigating the incident said: “This was a nasty incident and I would urge anyone with any information at all who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch with us immediately.”
