A man was taken to hospital after the car he was driving flipped over a hedge earlier this afternoon (Wednesday).
The East of England Ambulance Service were alerted to the Hitchin to Codicote road (B656) at 12.34pm. Reports stated that a car had left the road between the Whitwell junction and the Royal Oak public house.
Paramedics from Welwyn Garden City attended the collision.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson who attended the scene said: "We believe the man was travelling towards Hitchin when his car left the road and flew over a hedge and ended up in a field and amazingly he received slight injuries."
Paramedics Tim Dent and Fergal Collins stabilised the man at the roadside before conveying him to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage.
