A man who collapsed in a Hitchin bank yesterday afternoon has sadly died.
The man in his 50s was taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage after collapsing in Barclays Bank on Hitchin High Street around 4pm.
A rapid response vehicle was on scene in four minutes to treat the patient, joined by an ambulance, a community first responder and an ambulance officer, with police also called to the scene to assist.
The man was taken to the hospital in a critical condition but later died.
